For a couple of weeks, the members have been having an internal discussion regarding whether or not to allow members to maintain membership in other Motorcycle or Riding Clubs. After having heard back from the members and considering their concerns, the overwhelming opinion is in favour of NOT allowing Pioneer Crew members to be members of other MCs or RCs.

A new bylaw has been published, as of today, prohibiting Pioneer Crew members from holding membership in other Motorcycle or Riding Clubs.

There are some caveats, though :

Existing
  1.  Existing members will be "grandfathered." In other words, no action is required by current members if they are currently a member of another club and wish to continue to do so;
  2. New members (or existing members wishing to join a new club while remaining with the CVFR) may only maintain multiple memberships after having received approval from the Unit Executive. A clear benefit to the CVFR will need to be demonstrated and special consideration will be afforded to "brother clubs" such as Military/Veteran, Law Enforcement, Fire Services etc.

This is new terretory for the CVFR. Once again, the Pioneer Crew is leading the way.

As the President of CVFR LRRP, I am proud of the way that this bylaw change was discussed and considered by our members. The feedback and suggestions showed great respect for our motto, "Honour and Freedom", and was yet another example of the calibre of members that we have.
